General Notes:
At aged 16, signed up as a naval cadet, and did his training on 'The Caledonia' in Rosth, Scotland. The Caledonia was previously the SS Majestic and was the same ship his grandmother Olivia Cecilia and her sister Tobina sailed to the US to meet their other three sisters.
Septimus served in the Royal Navy during WW2, much of the time on a transalantic convoys and convoys to Cuba.
Septimus married Catherine Smith, daughter of John Thompson Francis Smith and Kate Hall, Q1 1943 in Hull, Yorkshire, England. (Catherine Smith was born on 31 Dec 1920 and died on 15 Jan 1994.)
