General Notes:
In 1881 census boarder in Brighton. In 1891 census boarder in Tunbridge. After her brother Frank's wifes death in 1913, Frank invited his sister Ann to live with him in Albany, Australia. Albany Advertiser mentions Ann in 14/1/1937; 25/1/1937; 19/7/1937. Local Girl Guides, Boy Scouts all express appreciation of her help. At her death Ann still owned Edward House bequeather to Toc H. Stirling Terrace and MacCartney House, Serpentine Road bequeathed to the boy scouts.
A ship owner by Ann's father David, was named the Anne Dymes. Some details of the Anne Dymes follows: Built in India. Moulmein (now in Burma) in 1863. It would have been built of teak Owners, Dymes & (crossed out) D. D. Dymes. Registered in London. 47366 ex Bayswater ex foreign NRT 451. No. 209. 31 July 1863 p2 The Times CAPE OF GOOD HOPE direct, the magnificent new clipper ship ANNE DYMES, A1 13 years, 850 tons burden, P. H. Knight, commander; lying in the London DOCKS.
