Nathaniel Dimes

  General Notes:

Nathaniel (1724-1800) married Elizabeth Faithfull in 1746 but consistently failed to pay the rates after 1774 and had to vacate his rented cottage by 1779 as he is recorded in the parish Overseers for the Poor accounts as 'paid for a bed for Nathaniel Dimes wife £1 11s 6d'. In later years he received small sums of money from the Overseers such as: January 1789 - 6d; January 1792 2s 4d; July 1794 a loaf 6d.
He died in 1800 and his burial was paid for by the parish.

Nathaniel married Elizabeth Faithfull, daughter of William Faithfull and Elizabeth Jones, on 9 Oct 1746 in Crondall, Hampshire, England. (Elizabeth Faithfull was born on 4 Dec 1726 in Crondall, Hampshire, England and was buried on 4 Dec 1782 in Crondall, Hampshire, England.)
