She had an invlaif mother who died in 1957 and her father then moved in with Les and Betty until his death in 1978.
Betty enjoyed flower arranging, knitting and crochet work and belonged to the Soroptimists.

Beatrice married Leslie Richard Arthur Dimes, son of Arthur Dimes and Agnes Charlotte Bendell, on 3 Aug 1940 in Wembden, near Bridgewater, Somerset, England. (Leslie Richard Arthur Dimes was born on 22 Dec 1918 in Stockland, Bristol, Somerset, England and died on 12 Jan 1994 in Taunton, Somerset, England.)
