Spent WW1 years in Canada with wife Annie and daughter Ivy. Younger daughter Edna was born in Canada. They sailed on the SS Franconia from Liverpool (27th May 1913) to Portland Maine (4th June 1913), heading for Canada intending to work as a bricklayer.
Building Contractor. Built his own house Semidway, 25 Reading Road South, Fleet.
Arthur married Annie Alice Aggar, daughter of Henry Aggar and Unknown, on 19 Aug 1911 in Fleet, Hampshire, England. (Annie Alice Aggar was born in 1889 and died on 7 Jun 1988 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England.)
