In Dec 1913, Samuel tried to cross the Canadian border to enter the US but was detained at the border in Vermont. He was a 13 year old 'student' heading for Buffalo.
Lived in 214 Headley Street, Ontario fn 1949 and through to 1972 and was a pipe fitter.
Have a note that Samuel and Ethel had a daughter Candace, but it could be a grand daughter.
Samuel married Ethel Reah, daughter of John Reah and Elizabeth Jane Wardlaw, on 15 Nov 1922 in Waterloo Twp, Waterloo Co, Ontario, Canada. (Ethel Reah was born in 1902 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.)
