2 Mar 1886 Apprenticed to Horace Reginald Savory of Red Lion St., Clerkenwell. 1887 Apprentice to Silversmith 12 Jun 1888, Edward joined the local yeomanry, the 19th Middlesex Voluntary Reserve and rose to the rank of corporal. Changes in the organization of the territorial force transferred him to the 9th County of London, Queen Victorias in April 1908. He then attended the annual training camp on Salisbury Plain in August 1908 and 1909. 1895 Freeman of Goldsmith Company 1901 Manufacturing Silversmith. 1906 Registered his silvermark 'ED'. 1911 described as a self employed silversmith of 17 Oakley Road, Islington. 1923 Silversmith 1923 Lived at 44 Mysore Road, Lavender Hill, SW London. Also lived at 65 Semley Road, Norbury, Surrey.
