In 1901 living with his grandmother, two uncles and an aunt at Halfway Houses, Crondall Lane, Farnham. In 1911 a boarder in Grayshott, Alton. A fishmongers assistant. WW1 Lance Corporal in 16th Battallion, Duke of Cambridge Own Middlesex Regiment. Served and died in France and Flanders. Buried in Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, Wancourt, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France
