Erected a brew house on the plantation where he lived and owned in South Carolina. He also owned copper and other utensils and a great quality of malt.

Will of Thomas written 27th Dec 1729.
In the name of god Amen, one Thomas Dymes of Berkley County in the province of South Carolina, Brewer, being of sound and diposing mind and memory (blessed be God for the same) do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forms following (that is to say). First and principally I recommend my soul unto the HANDS OF ALMIGHTY GOD hopeing through the satisfrtoid and merritts of my only savour and dear REDEEMER JESUS CHRIST to have full and free pardon of all my sins and to inherit eternal life. My body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named and as for such temporal estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as follows imprimis I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid and discharged item I give unto each of my es'tors hereinafter named one suite of mourning item - all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same unto and among my loving children, John Dymes, Anne Dymes, Thomas Dymes, Robert Dymes and Joseph Dymes, their heirs, estors admors and efsignes for ever equally to be divided between them share and share alike subject never the less to such management and disposition ne hereinafter is directive and appointed and whereas I have been at great charges in erecting a brew house malt house and sellars on the plantation where i now live and in buying copper and other utensils and now may have at the time of my decease a great quantity of malt Now i do herby direct authorise and empower my executors herinafter named and the survivor of them and the estors of such survivor (in case they think fit) to continue and carry on the said brewing trade in such manner and for such time as they shall think most for the advantage of all my afforesaid children And in case my said estors shall not carry on the said brewing trade or shall be minded to of the same after sometime carrying it on then I will direct complete authorise and empower my estors hereinafter named and they survivor of them and the estors of such survivors to grant bargain sell and dispose of all and singular my plantations lands nofsunges tenements herediments coppers and other brewing utensils and also all and every my negros indian and other slaves and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and I will and direct that the moneys arising my such sale be by my said Executors or such of them as shall so sell and dispose of the same. Placed out to interest on such security either landed or personal as they shall appreve for the equal benefit and advantage of all my said children to be payd unto themby my said estors vis: to my said sons as they shall severally attain the age of one and twenty years and to my said daughter at her age of eighteen or day of marriage which shall first happen and I will that my said children be educated and maintained out of the interest of the aforesaid moneys and if any of my said children dye befoere the age of one and twenty years and unmarryd then I will that the portion of him or her so Dying shall go and be Payd unto and among the rest surviving and my wll further is that my extors hereafter names shall not be answerable for any involuntary lossthat shall or may happen by reason of any of the moneys hereby directed ti be placed out to interest and that neither of them shall be answerable for each others receipts but each for his own set and recipts only. Lastly I hereby nominate ordaine constitute and appoint Joseph Wragg of Charles Town, Merchant and Robert Hume of the same place Gen. Estors of this my last will and testament and also guardians of all my aforenamed children that is to say of my sons until they respectivley attain the age of one and twenty years and of my said daughter until she attain the age of eighteen years or be married which shall first happen hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time heretofor made And i do publish and declare this to be and stand as an for my last will and testament in witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament consisting of this and the preceding sheet of paper set my hand and seal (that is to say) my hand to this preceding sheet and my hand and seal to this sheet this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty nine. Thomas was in South Carolina court of common pleas as a plaintiff against defendent Samual Wragg 20th November 1719.

1720 Thomas was on the South Carolina Grand Jury list and the Petite Jury List.

Thomas was later mentioned by a Jospeh Wragg where it was written "a deed (1742) for a pew at St. Philips Church (Charleston) formerly owned by Thomas Dymes, conveyed by Joseph Wragg, Sr. (executor) to Joseph Wragg, Jr., with related correspondence".
