Aged Local Woman Died This Morning
Mrs. Catherine Bartholomew, aged 72, died early this morning at her home at 200 Maxwell Avenue.
Mrs Bartholomew was born in Crundel (sp Condall), England Dec 4, 1864 and came to Raton from England. She had been a resident of Colfax county for 22 years.
She is survived by five sons, Charles and Jack of Raton, Tommy of Sugarite, Richard of Swastika, and George of Morpeth, England; and four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Grover, Mrs. Mabel Lark and Mrs, William (sp Lillian) Lewis or Raton and Mrs. Gertrude McCormick of Sugarite.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Episcopal church, with burial in Fairmont cemetery.
Errington mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Catherine married John Bartholomew, son of George Edward Bartholomew and Mary Elizabeth Atwood, on 24 Dec 1886 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England.
