Constance Mabel Dimes (4586) was born on 2 October 1904 at 75A Ravensbury Rd. Southfields. She was educated at Whatley Road School. She never went out to work as she was needed at home to help in the running of the house. She marr on 7 September 1929 at St Andrew, Wimbledon. After her marriage she lived at 527 Kingston Rd. Raynes Park, S.W.20. They then moved to Bodley Rd. New Maldon, Surrey, which was nearer George's work in the men's clothing department of Bentalls, the big department store in Kingston. In 1939 they were living in a farm at Blackham, Kent but soon moved from there to The Quadrent, Bardsey, Yorkshire, as George was seconded to the Ministry of Supply based in Leeds. At the end of the war he was in charge of clothing for demobbed servicemen. After the war he became managing director of the ladies fashion store, Peter Robinson, at Oxford Circus, London. The family moved to Haslemere, Surrey, first to Ardrossan, Derby Rd. Haslemere and then to Bardsey, the house next door. George was ordained when he retired and took services in several of the local churches. George died on 21 September 1992 and Connie died a few days later, on the 8 October.

Constance married George Gilbert Herring, son of George Herring and Kate Gilbert, on 7 Sep 1929 in St. Andrews, Wimbledon, London, England. (George Gilbert Herring was born on 4 Sep 1904 in Killburn, London, England and died on 21 Sep 1992 in Haslemere, Surrey, England.)
