General Notes:
Francis was the tallest in the family at 6ft 7in. His first job was as a grocer's delivery boy taking out orders on a bicycle. Later he became a counter assistant on the provisions counter of the Co-op store. He married Edith at St James, New Malden, Surrey. She was the daughter of Arthur and Ethel Armitage who lived in West Barnes Lane, Raynes Park. WW2, Francis was in the Catering Corps and was stationed in Ceylon. After the war he returned to the Co-op at Morden, Surrey, and to his home at 27 Selwood Rd. Sutton, Surrey. When their boys left home they moved to a maisonette in Martin Way, Morden. On retirement they moved to 3 Drake's Approach, West Clacton, Essex. Edith died 9 June 1978 and Frank died 7 November 1978.
