1901 Census living at 37 Gladstone Street, Portsmouth, Hampshire with mother and brother Walter.
Enlisted in Royal Navy at Chatham on 30 May 1917. 5 foot 9 inches tall, 36 inch chest, brown hair, grey eyes, fair complexion. Formerly a railway greaser. Served on Pembroke 1 and Iron Duke as an ordinary seaman. Character very good, ability satisfactory. He was demobbed on 20 Mar 1919.
1955 he was an engine driver of 194 Cromwell Road, Cambridge.

Henry married Nellie C. L. Clements in Apr 1923 in Fordham, Cambridge, England. (Nellie C. L. Clements was born on 21 Dec 1902.)
