At time of christening lived at 14 Poplar Place, Bayswater, London. When 11 years old Annie Maria Brown was admitted to Saunders Road School, Hammersmith. She lived at 52 Bramley Road. At age 17 in 1891 census was a servant to Arthur J Smith and family at 384 Harrow Road, Paddington. Emmigrated to South Africa probably in 1907-1909 leaving her daughter Lillian Ethel behind to look after her blind mother Mary. Although son Victor's estate says Annie dies in KWT 25 Feb 1970 it is also recorded Annie dies in 1940.
