Sometime after the fire at Oldstone, Dorothy wnet to live with her Aunt and Uncle Ferris at Torquay and attended Mrs. Robinson's school as a weekly boarder. When they moved to Brent village near Totnes, she cycled to and fro at the weekend.
In 1903 she was at Wadstray helping with a party of paying guests.
Henrietta married Albert Powell Q4 1906 in Kingsbridge.
