General Notes:
Known as Tom. Educated at Highgate, then Kingsbridge Grammar School and Oxford University. He became a schoolmaster and in July 1918, was just finishing a spell as Assistant Master at Wilson's Grammar School, Camberwell, and was due to start as a headmaster of the Foundation School, Whitechapel. While working there he lived at Leytonstone. On 30th July 1927, Tom gave up teaching and emigrated to Australia sailing from Liverpool on the Themistocles, on the Aberdeen Line. He started pineapple farming at Beerwah, Queensland. 1940's returned to teaching. 1950's worked in Indonesia.
